Six Sentence Sunday...

Welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday. We’re picking up right where we left off last week with six from ‘Flesh’, my Post-Zombie-Apocalypse extravaganza due 1st October. Here’s the blurb if you haven’t caught it previously...
Gratuitous Zombie cleavage shot. Gross!

Ali has been hiding in an attic since civilisation collapsed eight weeks ago.

When the plague hit, her neighbours turned into mindless, hungry, homicidal maniacs.

Daniel has been a loner his entire life. Then the world empties and he realises that being alone isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Finn is a former cop who is desperate for companionship, and willing to do anything it takes to protect the survivors around him.

When the three cross paths they band together; sparks fly, romance blooms in the wasteland and Ali, Daniel and Finn bend to their very human needs in the ruins of civilisation.

Lust, love and trust all come under fire in Flesh as the three band together to survive, hunted through the suburban wastelands.

The scene we’re looking at happens after Ali tries to lose Daniel by fleeing back to her hidey hole in a neighbour’s attic. Our hero of course follows and captures her, pinning her to the ground with his fine self. Whilst marveling at his ‘little ray of sunshine’s’ very existence, he passes both of her wrists into one hand, and...

It freed him up to wipe at the dirty tear tracks on her face, to tuck a strand of oily hair behind an ear more adorable than any ear had a right to be. He was grinning again, and he didn’t bother to fight it. She was every Christmas all at once, tinsel and trees and the whole shebang. And sure, last Christmas had been spent fighting for survival, but this more than made up for it. What a wonderful present. He’d even gotten used to her smell.

  4. How did I miss this? How?! I have to confess that there's a little part of me that wants to smack that grin off Daniel's face. Yet, lord help me, I like him!
