Welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday. Today we’re
continuing on with our arranged marriage in outer space in the year 2088.
Louise has arrived at a mining base on the moon of Esther to meet her new
husband. The man waiting, however, is not who she expected. To put it mildly, he
looks and smells like he was recently hosed off a barroom floor. With her
stomach tossed about by the shuttle landing, Louise is having trouble not
puking on his shoes.
Thanks to all who stop by and comment each week! Much
appreciated.
“I’m Adam Elliot,” he said, like it should
mean something.
“Okay. Where’s Gideon?”
His scowl singed the top of her head and
baked her already addled brain. They’d said returning to natural gravity took
some getting used to but this was crazy and where was her husband? This must be
what unclaimed luggage felt like.
Love it! Great six sentences. Great story! =)
ReplyDeleteI'm so loving this story. Looking forward to finding out who this is (that she should know).
ReplyDeleteCaught a glimpse of your Wed. blog, so read that. Very interesting. I know I've read other books with virgin heroes. Outlander, yes, but others. Just can't think of them. I've read many where "it's been a while" for the hero. But you're so right about the fantasy of being "the one" to snag the unattainable hot guy.
The virgin hero idea is a lot of fun, isn't it? Glad you liked it, Virginia.
DeleteMan, I love this, Kylie. Can't wait to read it cover to cover. (And that last line is awesome!)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Monica!
Delete"This must be what unclaimed luggage felt like." Oh, that so works! Intriguing six, Kylie. And I love the premise. This is a must-read, I think. :-) Is it published--or do you have a working title? :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa, not published yet. The working title is The Colonists Wife. Thanks for stopping by and I'm delighted you liked it!
