Six Sentence Sunday with SKIN.

LAST MINUTE PIMPAGE: My short zombie world story 'Room With A View: Hot Down Under' has just gone free on Amazon.

Welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday and Merry Christmas! Today, to celebrate, I've given you one of my favourites from SKIN the upcoming sequel to FLESH. Here’s the blurb in case you don’t know the story...

Six months since the zombie plague struck, former librarian Roslyn Stewart has been holed up in a school with eight other survivors. But now the shelves in the school canteen are bare. The stranger at the gate has supplies that will ensure the group’s ongoing survival, but at a cost. He wants a woman.

I'm sorry, if I knew how to put a Santa cap on him I totally would have.

His dick throbbed in his pants, completely out of control. Rather fucking painfully trapped behind his zipper, too. Bad timing, but not so surprising. He was a beast, an animal reeking of sweat and ready to pounce, rock hard and hurting. His hard-on gave Godzilla a run for its money. If he swung it about, Tokyo would be leveled.

Six Sentence Sunday with SKIN.

Welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday. Today we’ve got six from SKIN the upcoming sequel to FLESH.

Nick is a man with a plan. He’ll treat Roslyn like a Queen, devoting the rest of his life to protecting and providing for her. In exchange, of course, for sexual favours. It’s the deal of the century given the state of the world. But Roslyn doesn’t see it that way. The first chance she gets she attacks the ex-army man and attempts to escape, forcing Nick to contain her. And so begins his awkward courtship of the woman, with her chained to the bed for security reasons.

Nick is demanding a kiss in exchange for doing Roslyn a favour. Our heroine of course refuses and says she doesn't want to kiss him. Nick says, she doesn't want to want to kiss him, there's a difference. And so the verbal sparring continues with Ros speaking first...

Not so much.

“You’re full of shit and I have no interest in touching you, kissing you or coming within fifty yards of you. Do you understand? Are those words little enough to penetrate your thick skull?”
“Oops. You said penetrate. You know what I’m thinking now?”

“I don’t have to force you. I’ve seen the way you look at me.”

“Like I think you’re a sociopathic, misogynistic, kidnapping cretin?”

“Like I’m a man you’re attracted to.”

Like hell. “I prefer my version,” she said.
