Weekend Writing Warriors... LICK

Welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors. If you were following the first scene of LICK, my NA out 1st July (and now available for pre-order), then good news, I’ve posted the whole thing here. I decided we'd dragged that out long enough. If you're new to the story, here’s the quickie blurb….

Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure as hell never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hang-over to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man beside her, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.

And today we have the shit-hits-the-fan moment when our heroine Evelyn and her friend Lauren arrive home from Las Vegas. Ev had elected to hide the whole marriage incident and continue on with her life as normal. Yeah, right. Good luck with that, girl…

Up ahead I heard shouting. Lights were flashing. Someone famous must have been on the plane. People ahead of us turned and stared. I looked back too but saw no familiar faces.
“What’s going on?” Lauren asked, scanning the crowd.
“I don’t know,” I said, standing on tippy-toe, getting excited by all the commotion.
Then I heard it, my name being called out over and over.
