Now
usually when you think of the holidays you imagine Christmas trees, home-cooked
meals and brightly wrapped gifts. You may not think of action and adventure!
A
GALACTIC HOLIDAY is made up of three sci-fi romance holiday novellas. While
each of the stories certainly has its share of holiday cheer and romance, there is also some pulse pounding adventure and
adrenaline-filled moments.
In
GALILEO’S HOLIDAY you’ll see spaceships explode, a perilous trek through the
ice and cold and a hazardous repair mission while man-eating cryptids prowl in
the snow. But you’ll also see tugger, Riley—an independent woman used to being
alone—learn to trust a man and be part of community.
Sasha,
can you give us a sneak peak of your favorite action scene in your novella?
I
think the final scene is pretty awesome. Riley has to leave the station,
knowing things can’t end well – I’m not going to give too much more away here. J
We’ve already had a glimpse of the cryptids that lurk in the snow, hoping to
eat any straggling stationeer that might leave the safety of the station. And
we know the raiders offer a very different but equally lethal sort of threat.
Having the two collide is pretty epic. To make it that much more intense, the
winds are gusting so it’s very hard to see… But you know the cryptids are
coming because Riley can hear them attacking the others through her earpiece.
In
HOW THE GLITCH SAVED CHRISTMAS, you’ll see slick bikes on maglev tracks,
detectives pursuing suspects through a blizzard and men with enhanced body
modifications. But you’ll also see the tough Reina slowly melt under the
forceful and sexy attentions of a man she thought she hated.
Stacy,
can you give us a sneak peak of your favorite action scene in your novella?
Certainly! Both Reina and Edison are veterans when it
comes to chasing down their suspects, and in the deadened heart of a futuristic
Chicago decimated by two brutal waves of bird flu pandemics, life of the
streets is more deadly than ever. It’s
made that much more dangerous when a blizzard rolls in, plunging the
temperature well below zero. Come to
find out, the cybernetic body Edison now possesses doesn’t do that well in
subzero situations, yet he ignores the danger to himself when their target goes
on the run with Reina in hot pursuit.
There’s no way Edison will ever leave Reina out in the cold,
figuratively or literally, no matter the cost he’ll have to pay.
In
WINTER FUSION, you’ll see explosions, avalanches, a dangerous race across an
ice lake and deadly assassins. But you’ll also see the controlled Savan—a man
from a world with no families—discover what the holidays are all about from a
woman who is his toughest rival.
Anna,
can you give us a sneak peak of your favorite action scene in your novella?
Well,
I have a couple of fav scenes (I’m an action girl, at heart) but I’ll share a
bit more about that race across the lake. Our hero and heroine, Savan and Brinn
are racing to escape an assassin. Brinn hates ice lakes (you’ll have to read
the story to find out why) and all around them is thigh-deep snow. Savan helps
her control her fear and together they head out onto the thin, cracking ice.
Brinn’s heart is hammering in her ears, she’d almost prefer to face the
assassin. But with Savan’s solid support, they work together and…well, I don’t
want to spoil it, let’s just say the assassin pulls out all his weapons to stop
them reaching the other side.
